things to do
Little Free Library at the Yoho General Store
Eastern Greene Schools partnered with the Yoho General Store to provide a Little Free Library in downtown Solsberry. It’s located in the Yoho General Store’s outdoor dining area directly across the street. Take your mind on an adventure by stopping by to explore the storybooks!
Storybook donations are always welcomed and can be added to the Little Free Library anytime.
Annual Yoho Valentine’s Meal
Bring your favorite company to enjoy our annual Valentine’s meal offered in February. We serve hot plates of our savory homemade meatloaf with a generous scoop of mashed potatoes, and the chef’s vegetable of choice. All meals come with a complimentary dessert. And, because it’s all about sharing the love, each meal comes with a complimentary dessert! Choose from a slice of pie or a scoop of ice cream.
Annual Yoho Halloween Spirit Contest
Partake in the fun by participating in the Yoho General Store Halloween Costume Contest. The contest takes place at the end of October, and the chosen winner receives a free meal!
Santa Train at the Yoho General Store
The Santa Train stops in Solsberry, Indiana, near the Yoho General Store in December. It’s the perfect opportunity for children to give their wish list to Santa and for parents to snap a photo or two with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the many Disney characters!
We suggest arriving early to enjoy a hot breakfast at the Yoho General Store and, of course, secure a good spot in line – it fills up quickly!
Afterward, head 6 miles west to the Tulip Trestle observation deck to watch the Santa Train slowly cross Indiana’s largest railroad viaduct. Spectators who watch closely can see Mr. and Mrs. Claus, including all the Disney characters waving! The two experiences back-to-back make for a very magical morning.
